In previous edition, celebrity chef and MasterChef India winner Shipra Khanna served as the brand ambassador for Bharat Nutrition Week, lending her voice and culinary expertise to promote nutritious eating habits across households. Her presence helped bridge the gap between healthy food practices and everyday kitchens, inspiring families to embrace simple, accessible, and nourishing meals as a foundation for better health.
ABOUT BHARAT NUTRITION WEEK 2025
Despite years of targeted policies and well-intentioned schemes — from POSHAN Abhiyaan to Anganwadi Services under ICDS — millions of Indians still go to bed hungry or undernourished. Nearly 14% of the population remains undernourished, and India continues to report one of the highest child wasting rates globally at 18.7%, despite measurable efforts. The pandemic only deepened these gaps, slowing down essential nutrition programs and worsening food insecurity across vulnerable communities. But the fight against malnutrition is far from over.
On the occasion of World Nutrition Week 2025, the 5th edition of Bharat Nutrition Week by IHW Council & Teamwork Communications reignites the conversation — bringing together voices from health, food, policy, and community to build a truly “Poshan Yukta Bharat”. This platform envisions a future where nutrition is not a privilege, but a right — aligned with the national goal of an Ayushman Bharat — a healthy, thriving India for all.
