Dr. Nandita Palshetkar is one of India’s most celebrated pioneers in reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive technology, widely recognized for her transformative contributions to IVF, infertility treatment, and women’s healthcare. She is the Past President of the Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction (ISAR) and serves as the Scientific Director and Founder of Bloom IVF Group, one of India’s leading fertility care networks.
With more than four decades of clinical excellence, Dr. Palshetkar has played a defining role in advancing fertility medicine in India by integrating cutting-edge reproductive technologies with compassionate patient care. An alumnus of Grant Medical College and Mumbai University, she pursued advanced international training in IVF, micromanipulation, embryo sciences, and reproductive genetics at premier institutions in Belgium, Italy, Denmark, and Australia, establishing herself among the earliest specialists to introduce advanced fertility technologies in India.
As the Founder and Medical Director of Bloom IVF, she built one of India’s most respected IVF chains, expanding fertility services across multiple cities while maintaining high clinical success rates and standardized protocols. Under her leadership, Bloom IVF pioneered several breakthrough technologies in India, including assisted laser hatching, spindle-view technology, IMSI, embryo scope systems, egg freezing, ovarian tissue banking, and advanced male infertility solutions. She is also credited with several landmark fertility achievements, including some of India’s earliest complex IVF and surrogacy successes.
Beyond clinical innovation, Dr. Palshetkar has made outstanding contributions to academic medicine and professional leadership. She has served as President of FOGSI, MOGS, IAGE, and ISAR, while also representing India at global bodies such as FIGO. A prolific researcher, educator, and speaker, she has authored numerous scientific publications, textbooks, and educational programs that have significantly influenced reproductive medicine training in India.
Her work extends deeply into public health and social empowerment. Through initiatives focused on adolescent health, women’s wellness, and fertility awareness, she has consistently advocated for accessible reproductive healthcare and preventive women’s health education.
Recipient of numerous national and international honors—including the Bharat Gaurav Award, Lifetime Achievement Awards, and Fellowship Honoris Causa from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK)—Dr. Nandita Palshetkar continues to shape the future of fertility sciences in India through innovation, mentorship, research, and patient-centered reproductive care.
