4th Edition Of Patient First Summit
The 4th Edition of the Patient First Summit & Awards is a national platform rooted in compassion, dignity, and the unwavering belief that patients must always remain at the heart of healthcare. Now in its fourth edition, the Summit brings together healthcare leaders, policymakers, public health experts, pharmaceutical innovators, and patient advocates to explore transformative solutions and policies that are reshaping patient care in India. It serves as a catalyst for multi-stakeholder dialogue and action, uniting voices across the ecosystem to advance a future where healthcare is not only effective but deeply human-centered.
The Summit will address systemic gaps and emerging opportunities across the healthcare landscape, particularly around accessibility, equity, quality, and innovation. From next-generation diagnostics and digital therapeutics to breakthrough treatments and policy reforms driving Universal Health Coverage, the platform will spotlight scalable models and real-world innovations already improving patient outcomes. It fosters a collaborative environment involving government bodies, healthcare institutions, the pharmaceutical industry, med-tech innovators, and civil society, encouraging alignment of efforts and shared responsibility for putting patients first.
This year’s edition is strategically aligned with key national health priorities including Ayushman Bharat, the Digital Health Mission, eSanjeevani, and the broader Health for All vision. These flagship programs are transforming India’s healthcare delivery by advancing inclusive, accessible, and technology-enabled care models. They reflect the government’s commitment to citizen-centric healthcare, where every public initiative and private collaboration reinforces the centrality of the patient.
A key highlight of the event, the Patient First Awards, will celebrate healthcare professionals, institutions, public programs, and innovators who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to patient care, health equity, and community outreach. From frontline workers and policy architects to pharma-led health programs and digital health pioneers, these changemakers embody the spirit of service and innovation.
Globally, patient groups are emerging as core health actors actively shaping policy, innovation, and care pathways. The Patient First Summit brings this vision to India by putting patient voices at the centre of every healthcare transformation.
This Summit reaffirms one powerful truth: From vision to impact, the patient must remain at the heart of every healthcare journey.
This year, the Summit will introduce and build around “TENxCARE: Guiding Principles for a Patient-First Future” — a bold and original framework from IHW Council that defines the 10 essential values of truly people-centered care. These principles reflect both national health priorities and global best practices in people-centered care.
