Mr. Bhaskar Katamneni, IAS, is a distinguished civil servant known for his dynamic leadership across multiple sectors of governance in Andhra Pradesh. Over the course of an accomplished administrative career, he has held several critical assignments that reflect both his versatility and his commitment to public service. His work has consistently centered on strengthening institutional frameworks, improving public delivery systems, and advancing citizen-centric governance.

As Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare and Mission Director of the National Health Mission (NHM), he played a pivotal role in steering primary and secondary healthcare initiatives across the state. In this capacity, he was responsible for directing large-scale public health programs, including the expansion of Health & Wellness Centers and the recruitment of mid-level healthcare providers to enhance grassroots healthcare access. His leadership in these initiatives contributed to reinforcing preventive, promotive, and curative services while aligning state efforts with national health priorities.

Mr. Katamneni’s administrative portfolio extends far beyond healthcare. He has served as Collector and District Magistrate in both West Godavari and Visakhapatnam, where he oversaw district development and governance. His experience also includes leadership roles such as vice chairman and managing director of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, director of Mission Clean Godavari & Krishna Canals, commissioner of transport, commissioner of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), and director general of the Andhra Pradesh Human Resources Development Institute.
