Appointed to this role in October 2025, he leads Sanofi India’s transformation agenda—driving innovation, organizational agility, and operational excellence across all functions while reinforcing a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion that brings core corporate values to life across the organization.

Bringing over 30 years of rich experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, Deepak has built a distinguished career across global markets, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with deep leadership experience in commercial strategy, sales and marketing, general management, and business development. Prior to joining Sanofi India, he served as Country President of AstraZeneca in South Africa, where he led commercial operations and strategic growth initiatives for the business. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for driving sustainable growth, building high-performing teams, and executing strategic market expansion in complex, multi-market environments.

Deepak’s leadership philosophy centers on aligning business strategy with patient needs and market dynamics, ensuring that the organization delivers impactful therapeutic solutions while strengthening healthcare access within India.
