Dr. Abhilash Raghavan is a seasoned sustainability, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategist and the Director of ESG Sustainability & Safety at HSEI (HSE India Services), where he leads high-impact initiatives that integrate environmental stewardship, safety culture, and corporate responsibility into organizational strategy. With nearly 20 years of experience spanning sustainability management, ESG reporting, climate action, and health-safety-environment (HSE) frameworks, he has worked across sectors, including infrastructure, finance, renewable energy, and industrial sustainability, to embed long-term value creation through responsible business practices.

Dr. Raghavan’s academic background includes a doctorate in environmental science from Bharathidasan University and advanced degrees in energy, sustainability, and chemical engineering—credentials that enable him to bridge scientific rigor with strategic implementation in carbon-neutrality planning, climate risk governance, and ESG assurance.

In his role at HSEI, he has developed net-zero carbon strategies for major infrastructure projects across the UAE and MENA region, guided organizations through ESG reporting aligned with global frameworks, and spearheaded sustainability training and certification programs that elevate performance and compliance. His leadership extends to industry-leading certifications, LEED and WELL building standards, and the deployment of sustainability management systems that drive measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, and waste generation.

Prior to this, Dr. Raghavan served as Vice President & Head – ESG & Sustainability at ACME Group, where he led strategic decarbonization initiatives and comprehensive climate transition plans for renewable energy projects with gigawatt-scale pipelines, and as Head of Corporate Sustainability & HSE at National Bank of Fujairah, where he oversaw climate risk governance, ESG policy compliance, and green finance frameworks.
