Dr. Anirudh Kohli is a distinguished radiologist and healthcare administrator serving as Chief Executive Officer of Breach Candy Hospital Trust, Mumbai, one of India’s established multispeciality healthcare institutions. With a career spanning more than three decades at the hospital, he brings together clinical expertise, institutional knowledge and strategic leadership to strengthen healthcare delivery, advance medical infrastructure and enhance patient care. His professional philosophy centres on combining technological advancement with clinical excellence, patient safety and compassionate service, while ensuring that hospital operations continue to evolve in response to the changing needs of patients and healthcare professionals.

Dr. Kohli joined Breach Candy Hospital in 1989 in its Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) department and was appointed Head of the Imaging Department in 1993. His longstanding association with diagnostic radiology has given him extensive experience in the application of medical imaging technologies and their role in accurate diagnosis and clinical decision-making. He subsequently took on broader institutional responsibilities and assumed the position of CEO on 1 December 2023. This progression from a specialist clinical role to executive leadership reflects his understanding of both the medical and operational dimensions of hospital management.

As CEO, Dr. Kohli has overseen an important phase of infrastructure development and modernisation at Breach Candy Hospital. A major milestone was the development of an additional 11-storey hospital building, which added 66 rooms to the existing facility and expanded its capacity to serve patients. In May 2025, the hospital also introduced three state-of-the-art modular operating theatres in collaboration with Dräger India. The upgrade was designed to strengthen surgical efficiency, infection control and patient safety while maintaining the functioning of the operating-theatre complex during construction. Dr. Kohli has emphasised that such investments are not merely technological upgrades but essential steps towards improving patient care and enabling healthcare professionals to benefit from modern clinical infrastructure.

Academically, Dr. Kohli holds an MD, DNB and DMRD, with postgraduate medical training from Grant Medical College, Mumbai. Beyond hospital administration, he has contributed to medical scholarship as Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging for the 2019–2021 term and has authored professional editorials on imaging, technology and clinical practice. His career reflects a sustained commitment to medical advancement, institutional development and continuous improvement.
