Dr. K. He has served as president (2019–2022) of the Indian Society of Medical & Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO), playing a pivotal role in advancing oncology standards, collaborative research, and clinical education across the country.

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Govind Babu has been associated with some of India’s most prestigious cancer institutions. He has served as Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, and is a senior medical oncologist at leading cancer centers, including HCG Hospitals. His clinical expertise spans solid tumors and hemato-oncology, with a strong focus on targeted therapies and precision medicine approaches that are shaping the future of cancer treatment.

An accomplished researcher, he has authored over 100 scientific publications and contributed to national and international oncology guidelines, clinical trials, and consensus frameworks. His work has also been recognized globally through collaborations and participation in international oncology forums, including initiatives aligned with ESMO and pan-Asian cancer research efforts.
