Dr. Jacinta Dsilva is a highly respected sustainability researcher, academic, and thought leader, serving as Research Director—Living Lab & International Partnerships at the SEE Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action in The Sustainable City, Dubai, UAE, a global hub for sustainability research, innovation, and knowledge exchange. In her current role, she leads the institute’s research agenda, develops collaborative frameworks, and guides interdisciplinary studies that address key sustainability challenges such as circular economy, sustainable development goals (SDGs), climate action, and conscious consumer behavior—connecting academic insight with practical policy and industry application.

Dr. Dsilva holds a Ph.D. from Coventry University (UK) in Marketing and Service Quality, complemented by two master’s degrees, and brings more than 20 years of academic and industry experience spanning sustainability research, higher education, and strategic collaboration. Prior to her leadership at SEE Institute, she held faculty positions at prestigious institutions in the UAE, including MODUL University Dubai, University of Balamand, SP Jain School of Global Management, and Higher Colleges of Technology, where she taught and contributed to curriculum development, academic research, and quality assurance.

Her scholarly work encompasses books, book chapters, and academic publications on topics such as strategic corporate governance, sustainability frameworks, and gender equality, with an ongoing research focus on SDGs, circular economy transitions, and conscious consumption. At SEE Institute, she has also led and moderated high-level panels and workshops on sustainable practices, circular solutions, and climate resilience, reflecting her ability to bridge research with real-world impact and multi-stakeholder engagement.
