Dr. Madhavi Marathe is a seasoned clinical nutrition and medical affairs expert currently leading Clinical Nutrition, Medical Affairs & Clinical Research at Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, where she champions the integration of evidence-based nutritional science into pharmaceutical care and strategic health outcomes. Drawing on more than two decades of cross-sector experience spanning healthcare, nutrition science, and clinical research, she brings a rare blend of scientific rigor, clinical insight, and strategic leadership to one of India’s largest pharmaceutical organizations.

Dr. Marathe completed her academic journey with a master’s and Ph.D. from SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai, supplemented by advanced studies at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, University of London, and a postgraduate diploma in marketing management from NMIMS, Mumbai, giving her a strong foundation in both the science and strategic communication of clinical nutrition.

Before assuming her current leadership role at Sun Pharma in mid-2023, she built a distinguished career at Danone India, where she held senior positions in healthcare nutrition science, medical affairs, and stakeholder engagement. In those roles, she drove clinical evidence generation, medical communications, and collaborative engagements with healthcare professionals across therapeutic and nutrition domains, reinforcing the scientific credibility of nutrition-focused healthcare solutions.
