Dr. Prashant Jha is a physician-engineer-entrepreneur who trained in family medicine, bioengineering, product design, computer science, strategy, and innovation management at leading universities in India, the UK, and the USA. Over the last decade he has invented medical devices in the areas of stress urinary incontinence, hemorrhoid surgery, labor monitoring, pulmonary medicine, and diabetes management. Currently, Dr. Jha has a joint appointment at AIIMS and IIT Delhi, where he trains physicians and engineers in the art and science of inventing medical technologies besides practicing general medicine. He also serves as the senior editor in South Asia for The BMJ and the founder-editor for BMJ Innovations, the world’s first medical innovations journal.
