Dr. Sandeep Arora is a senior pharmaceutical physician and healthcare leader who serves as Country Medical Director at AstraZeneca India. With more than two decades of experience across the pharmaceutical, vaccine, medical device, and broader healthcare sectors, he plays a key role in shaping medical strategy, scientific engagement, and patient-centric initiatives for the company in India.

Before joining AstraZeneca, Dr. Arora served as Head of Medical Affairs and Patient Services at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company India, where he led medical strategy and patient-focused programs across multiple therapeutic areas. Earlier in his career, he held senior regional leadership roles at Terumo Corporation, including Regional Medical Director for Terumo Intervention Systems (Asia Pacific) and Director of Medical and Clinical Affairs at Terumo India, overseeing medical affairs and clinical initiatives across diverse markets.

A trained medical doctor and pharmaceutical physician, Dr. Arora earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi, and later completed an executive management program at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He is also a board-certified medical affairs specialist (USA) and holds ECFMG certification in medical science and clinical skills (US).

Throughout his career, he has worked across a wide range of therapeutic domains, including oncology, hematology, gastrointestinal and inflammatory disorders, rare diseases, cardiovascular, metabolic, and respiratory conditions, as well as vaccines and interventional medicine. His work focuses on strengthening evidence-based medicine, supporting clinical research and bridging scientific innovation with real-world patient care.
