Dr. Sanjiv Kumar is a distinguished public-health and health-systems leader with more than four decades of experience spanning policy, healthcare financing, leadership development, health-system strengthening, and capacity building across India and internationally. He is the Founder Chairperson and Managing Trustee of the Three Domain Health Leadership Foundation, through which he works to strengthen leadership capabilities among health professionals and promote a more holistic approach to health-system transformation. His professional journey includes serving as Executive Director of the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), the technical support institution to the National Health Mission under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. During his tenure at NHSRC, he contributed to areas including healthcare financing, health-system strengthening, leadership development, and public-health management.

A strong advocate of leadership as a critical determinant of health-system performance, Dr. Kumar has devoted significant attention to developing the capabilities of healthcare professionals and nurturing the next generation of public-health leaders. His work and writings have addressed strategic management, team building, leadership, healthcare financing, and the need for dedicated public-health cadres in India. Dr. Kumar holds qualifications including an MBBS, MD, DNB, MBA, and fellowships in public health and medical sciences. He has also served in academic and advisory capacities and continues to contribute to national health policy and public health discourse.
