Dr. Seema Kapoor is a highly respected pediatrician, clinical geneticist, and academic leader serving as Director Professor in the Department of Paediatrics and Head of the Genetic Laboratory (Division of Genetics) at Maulana Azad Medical College & Lok Nayak Hospital in New Delhi, India, where she leads one of the country’s principal centers for genetics diagnostics, newborn screening, and academic training in clinical genomics.

Driven by a mission to integrate modern genetic science into clinical practice and improve outcomes for children and families, Dr. Kapoor oversees a broad portfolio of clinical, diagnostic, and academic initiatives. Under her leadership, the department functions as a high-volume referral center for dysmorphology, metabolic and prenatal genetics, neurogenetics, and other complex inherited disorders, supported by advanced laboratory infrastructure including molecular genetics, cytogenetics, and newborn screening facilities.
