With over two decades of experience in public health, clinical medicine, program implementation, health systems strengthening, and community-based healthcare delivery, Dr. Vejella has built an exceptional career focused on advancing equitable healthcare access for vulnerable and underserved populations. Her professional mission is deeply rooted in strengthening healthcare systems, improving maternal and child health outcomes, and building resilient community-based health interventions that create measurable and sustainable impact.

At Jhpiego, Dr. Vejella provides strategic leadership across capacity strengthening, technical support, implementation science, and program execution, working closely with government institutions, development agencies, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to design and scale high-impact public health interventions. Her work spans critical health priorities including reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, infectious disease prevention, community health workforce strengthening, and quality improvement initiatives, helping translate policy into action at the grassroots level.
