Dr. Sherbaz Bichu is the Chief Executive Officer and Specialist in Anesthesia at Aster Hospitals & Clinics in the UAE, guided by the principle that ‘Leadership is a way of doing things.’ A core member of the founding team at Aster Hospitals, Dr. Bichu’s leadership and strategies have contributed to the growth of Aster Hospitals in the UAE. Since becoming CEO, Aster Hospitals has become a trusted healthcare provider in the UAE, encompassing multiple operational hospitals and clinics and employing a large workforce. Dr. Bichu also steers operations in Oman as country CEO, overseeing multiple hospitals and clinics.

Dr. Bichu prioritizes patient needs, which is reflected in improvements to the patient experience. As a Specialist in Anesthesia, they have experience in managing anesthetic cases across various surgical disciplines, including general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric surgery, head and neck surgery, neurosurgery, urology, and gastroenterology.Their experience extends to the intensive care of postoperative patients, head injury patients, and polytrauma patients.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Bichu served as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Aster IVF. Building on this experience, they were a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Assistant Medical Administrator at the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) in Kerala, an institute known for its medical expertise and diagnostic services. Their work history includes experience in a multi-specialty hospital setting, utilizing medical technologies and working alongside internationally trained medical professionals.

Dr. Bichu holds an MHCD from Harvard University, a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Anesthesia from J.J.M. Medical College, and an MBBS from J S S Medical College, demonstrating applied knowledge of clinical practices and patient care protocols
