Dr. Uma Aysola is an accomplished public health leader, health systems strategist, and global advocate for resilient and equitable healthcare systems, currently serving as Secretariat Member of the Global Learning Collaborative for Health Systems Resilience (GLC4HSR). With over 37 years of leadership experience spanning health systems management, public health, diagnostics, hospital administration, strategic communications, partnerships, and policy advocacy, she has built a distinguished career dedicated to strengthening healthcare ecosystems across geographies. In her concurrent leadership role as Director (Global), Communications and Partner Engagement at ACCESS Health International, she leads strategic global engagement, stakeholder relations, and collaborative partnerships that connect policymakers, healthcare institutions, academic leaders, and development organizations toward building stronger and more adaptive health systems.
As a founding member of the secretariat of Global Learning Collaborative for Health Systems Resilience, Dr. Aysola has played an instrumental role in shaping one of the world’s most influential cross-country platforms focused on knowledge exchange, policy dialogue, and co-creation of resilient health systems. Since the collaborative’s inception in 2021, she has helped drive its international expansion, country chapter launches, annual conclaves, and strategic dialogues involving global health leaders, governments, academia, and multilateral institutions. She has consistently led opening addresses, moderated high-level global conversations, and helped translate complex health system challenges into actionable partnerships and policy frameworks.
Academically accomplished with a PhD and executive leadership training from Harvard Business School through The Rockefeller Foundation’s leadership initiative, Dr. Aysola’s professional journey includes transformative leadership roles at Indian Institute of Public Health, PHFI, LV Prasad Eye Institute, EMRI, and major healthcare and diagnostics organizations. Her contributions to healthcare innovation, leadership development, and social impact have earned her multiple recognitions, including the World CSR Award. Through her unwavering commitment to collaboration, mentorship, and system transformation, Dr. Uma Aysola continues to shape the global dialogue on health security, universal health coverage, and resilient healthcare for future generations.
