Dr. Vedant Kabra is a highly respected Surgical Oncologist and currently serves as the Director of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram, and Fortis Hospitals across Delhi-NCR. He leads a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive cancer care across specialties including breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck, gynecologic, genitourinary, lung, mediastinal, bone, skin, and soft tissue cancers. His expertise spans advanced treatments such as sentinel lymph node biopsy, breast conservation and oncoplastic surgery, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, HIPEC, and complex salvage surgeries. He is committed to enhancing cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and the development of Fortis Cancer Centers across the NCR region.
Dr. Kabra has treated patients from across India and over 25 countries, including Nepal, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Pacific Islands. He has travelled extensively to conduct awareness campaigns, medical camps, and cancer education programs as part of various public health initiatives.
Trained at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and the National Cancer Institute, Singapore, Dr. Kabra has performed more than 12,000 cancer surgeries. He is an active academic contributor, having delivered lectures at numerous national and international conferences, authored several publications, and contributed to four books. He also serves as a faculty member for the India–UK Breast Oncoplasty Fellowship organized by the University of East Anglia, UK.
A passionate advocate for cancer awareness and early detection, Dr. Kabra has led large-scale anti-tobacco initiatives and played a key role in establishing the “Voice of Tobacco Victims” movement in Haryana. His dedication continues to inspire public health action and improved cancer outcomes across the region.
