Gopika Nair Bhanot is a dynamic human resources leader currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Meenakshi Energy Limited, a Vedanta Group company, while also leading the HR function for Vedanta’s Power Business. In her current role, Gopika is responsible for shaping the human capital strategy for Meenakshi Energy and supporting Vedanta Power’s rapidly expanding operations. She partners closely with business leadership on talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership development, organizational design, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and digital HR transformation. Before assuming her leadership role at Meenakshi Energy, Gopika held several progressive HR positions within the Vedanta Group, supporting the Aluminium and Power businesses. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable experience with Deloitte India, Armament Research and Development Establishment (DRDO), and academic institutions, developing expertise in talent management, HR analytics, business partnering, and organizational effectiveness. Her diverse professional journey has equipped her with a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and innovation in people management.

Academically, Gopika has a multidisciplinary background in engineering, management, and human resources. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management at Sri Balaji University, Pune. She has also completed executive programmes in HR Analytics and related management disciplines, reflecting her commitment to leveraging data-driven insights for strategic HR decision-making.
