H.S.D. Srinivas is a veteran public health and healthcare systems leader who currently serves as Director – Health at Tata Trusts, where he leads strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening health systems in India through scalable, innovation-driven models of care. With over 25 years of experience spanning healthcare delivery, public-private partnerships, and large-scale programme design, Srinivas has become a key architect of initiatives that bridge philanthropic resources with government health priorities to improve access, equity and quality of care, especially in primary and preventive care domains.

Before joining Tata Trusts in August 2016, he held senior leadership roles with major organisations including Reliance Foundation, and operational and administrative positions at institutions such as L.V. Prasad Eye Institute and EMRI, giving him deep expertise in healthcare operations, performance management, stakeholder engagement, and organisational transformation. His academic foundation includes executive education in healthcare delivery from Harvard Business School and long-term executive training in international business from IIM Calcutta, reflecting a blend of clinical insight and strategic leadership.

At Tata Trusts, Srinivas leads efforts to design and implement replicable and scalable health system models that leverage both existing public infrastructure and emerging technologies. He has collaborated with state governments and partners to build technology-enabled platforms, advance data-driven public health programmes, and strengthen primary care delivery.
