A chartered accountant with years of experience in finance and business, he has extensive hands-on experience in the retail lending business, its systems & processes, legal & regulatory framework, and management of risks & governance mechanisms. Jose is also a co-founder of Index Advisory, which has incubated multiple entrepreneurial ventures, and has led the financial advisory of the firm, helping organizations such as Daimler Financial Services and Medtronic to develop and launch finance offerings in India. He has served on the board of several companies, including multinational joint ventures and Tata Group companies, and has served as an executive committee member of FIDC (Finance Industries Development Council), an apex organization for financial service companies. Prior to launching Index, Jose was the CFO and Risk Head of Tata Motors Finance, a retail finance company with a loan book in excess of $3 billion. Jose lives with his wife in Mumbai.
