She is the co-founder and chairperson of Portea Medical, one of the country’s largest and fastest-growing home healthcare companies, which she co-founded in July 2013 with a mission to make quality, patient-centric care accessible in the home—spanning chronic, geriatric, post-operative, and allied health services delivered across more than 20 cities in India.
Meena holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Madras and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where she was later honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2011—a testament to her professional impact and leadership. Her entrepreneurial journey is marked by a rare blend of strategic insight, cross-sector experience, and execution excellence, built over nearly three decades in diverse roles spanning healthcare, consulting, technology, outsourcing, education, and e-commerce. Prior to founding Portea, she held senior leadership positions with organizations including Tesco Hindustan Service Centre, NIIT, Pearson Education Services, and others, equipping her with deep operational and organizational expertise.
