Belinda Chan has been the CEO of the Fiji Cancer Society since 2017, spearheading impactful initiatives such as the Community Palliative Care Program, which trains health workers to provide essential care to patients with life-limiting conditions. Her passion lies in ensuring that no woman is left behind, with a focus on providing access to life-saving cervical cancer screenings for all, especially in underserved communities. Under her leadership, the Society has strengthened its outreach efforts, bringing cancer support and education to the most remote areas of Fiji. In recognition of its efforts in its work in tobacco, the society was awarded a gold medal for tobacco control in 2021 and continues to be globally acknowledged through the UICC’s Cancer Control Stories. Belinda remains committed to advancing cancer prevention and support across the Pacific and ensuring that no one is left behind.
