Debasree Chaudhuri is a dedicated Indian political leader whose work reflects a deep commitment to public service, women’s empowerment, and community development. Born on 31 January 1971 in Balurghat, West Bengal, she graduated with a Master of Arts degree from the University of Burdwan, a foundation that supported her early forays into social activism and organizational politics.

Chaudhuri’s political journey has been closely entwined with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), where she built her reputation through sustained grassroots engagement and organizational leadership within the party’s youth and women’s wings. Her perseverance culminated in a historic electoral victory in the 2019 Indian general elections, when she was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha as the Member of Parliament from the Raiganj constituency in West Bengal.
