Sanchit Nanda is a senior pharmaceutical industry strategist and healthcare access specialist who has served as senior director – global patient solutions for India, South, and Southeast Asia at Gilead Sciences. With more than 25 years of experience across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, he has built a strong reputation for advancing patient access to innovative therapies and developing sustainable healthcare access models across emerging markets in Asia.

In his role at Gilead, Sanchit led initiatives designed to strengthen patient access, market access strategy, and healthcare partnerships across multiple countries in the region. His work focuses on building innovative patient support programs, developing digital healthcare solutions, and collaborating with governments, insurers, and healthcare providers to ensure broader access to advanced therapies. Through these efforts, he has contributed to designing patient-centric programs that improve treatment affordability, expand access to specialty medicines, and integrate technology into the patient journey.

Over the course of his career, he has been widely recognized for pioneering several first-of-their-kind industry initiatives in India. These include early partnerships for patented medicines, the development of health economics and outcomes research frameworks for institutional healthcare decisions, and the launch of digital patient support programs and innovative healthcare financing models. His work has also helped strengthen the adoption of outcome-based assurance programs and insurance inclusion for high-value therapies, contributing to more sustainable healthcare delivery models.

Before joining Gilead, Sanchit held multiple leadership positions at major pharmaceutical organizations, including Novartis and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he led initiatives across market access, commercial excellence, pricing strategy, and strategic planning. His leadership across these roles helped establish new functions such as market access, health economics, and business development partnerships that enabled innovative therapies to reach patients more effectively.

Academically, Sanchit holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Delhi and a postgraduate program in finance and marketing from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He is also pursuing doctoral research focused on assessing the impact of innovative healthcare access models in low- and middle-income countries, reflecting his long-standing commitment to improving healthcare access and patient outcomes.

Beyond his corporate leadership, he actively contributes to industry dialogue and policy discussions through forums such as the Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
