I am Ashwini Kumar Choubey, an Indian politician and senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). With more than four decades of experience in public life, I have dedicated my career to serving the people of India through transparent governance, development-focused policies, and social upliftment. Born in Bihar, I began my journey through student activism and later became an active participant in the JP Movement. My commitment to society led me to serve five consecutive terms as a Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Over the years, I have held key portfolios in the Bihar Government, including Urban Development, Public Health Engineering, and Health. In the Government of India, I have served as the Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, and later as the Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change, as well as Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution. My efforts have focused on strengthening healthcare services, promoting environmental sustainability, and improving essential public systems. I am passionate about cleanliness, health awareness, disaster relief, and environmental protection. I also authored a book titled “Kedarnath Trasadi,” based on the 2013 Kedarnath tragedy. My mission continues to be ensuring that development reaches every household and that the voice of the common citizen is heard, respected, and acted upon.
